National Delta Authors on Tour to Make First Virtual Stop in Mobile
Book lovers and aspiring writers will truly be inspired
Mobile, Ala-The Mobile Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated is honored to host the initial stop for Season VII of the virtual Delta Authors on Tour (DAOT) 2022 in the Dynamic Southern Region from 1 p.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, March 5, 2022. This event is free and open to the public. This year’s theme is “Reclaiming our Cultural Heritage.”
Registration is open and books can be purchased in advance of the event and during the event until 11:59 p.m. (CST) on March 5. The Delta Authors on Tour began in 2010 as a key program under Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated’s National Arts & Letters Commission to promote and highlight the literary talents of authors within the sisterhood.
“The mission of the Arts & Letters Commission is to promote a positive image of African Americans and other minorities through the mediums of music, dance, drama, poetry, and other literary works,” said Interim Southern Regional Director Cheryl W. Turner, “Mobile Alumnae Chapter has the distinction of being among a few select chapters of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, to host the National Delta Authors on Tour! Someone has a book inside of them waiting to happen; come join us and be inspired to write.”
The City of Mobile is rich in history and the Mobile Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated is inviting everyone to enjoy this virtual, literary experience.
